Achievements
Avon Marching Black and Gold (AMB&G) was awarded an automatic bid to the 2012 Tournament of Roses Parade. This privilege was achieved by being named Grand National Champions during the Bands of America and Music for All Grand National Championships held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana during November 2010. This is the first time EVER Tournament of Roses® Parade has given an automatic bid to a band. Normally, more than 50 musical groups compete for only 16 openings each year.
