Avon Band Marches in Rose Parade

The Marching Black & Gold was 14th in the parade, close to the beginning. The Rose Parade is broadcast live in the US beginning at 8:00am PST (11:00 Indiana time), on January 2, 2012.
For the first time in the 100+ history of the Rose Parade®, a band has received an invitation to march without the normal rigorous audition process. AMB&G accepted this prestigious nomination for winning the 2008, 2009, and 2010 Music for All /Bands of America Grand National Championship. They are one of only 20 outstanding musical groups performing in the 2012 Tournament of Roses Parade. The band raised just under $80,000 through many different fundraising events.AMB&G also performed at Band Fest while in Pasadena.
